Clockmaking and watchmaking

Clockmaking and watchmaking

Our history is closely linked to the development of clockmaking, which has shaped and conditioned the artisanal and industrial activities in the Geneva Basin.

Since it was founded in 1935, the company has naturally always served the clockmaking sector and has taken inspiration from its codes and working methods, to enrich its culture and know-how in order to enhance its technical competencies and its organisation.

Know-how

The company has always made very high-precision bar turned or milled parts, in small or large series, incorporating all the stages of finishing and termination specific to clockmaking applications (burnishing, setting, bead-blasting, sandblasting, rhodium-plating, etc.).

In addition to bar turning, our turning and milling equipment has enabled the company to develop know-how in the supply of technical instrumentation and tooling products as well.

Our competencies

Bar turning

Bar turning

The company began its activities with cam-controlled sliding headstock automatics for making small parts for Geneva’s clockmaking industry. Over time, these machines were replaced by CNC automatics, which now enable us to make high-precision simple or complex parts, in small or large series, measuring from 0.1 to 32 mm in diameter.

Turning

Turning

The turning workshop is equipped with CNC automatics with 2 or 3 tool turrets, capable of making high-precision, simple or complex parts, in medium to large sizes, up to 60 mm in diameter for bars and up to 140 mm for cylinders.

Milling

Milling

Our milling centres with 3 – 4 – 5 axes enable us to make parts for various applications, from clockmaking to industry in general, with the support of software from CFAO that guarantees us high reactivity and the ability to do the finishing directly on the machine on the most complicated products.

Finishing

Finishing

Our retainer bearing, trimming and termination workshops guarantee that we can always make parts in a way that meets the highest standards of quality and finishing. We take particular care, too, over our choice of subcontractors, who are genuine partners, for all surface treatment or thermal operations that may be required by our clients.

Assembly

Assembly

Simple or complex assembly operations for all manner of fields, from the medical sector to the clockmaking sector, via the industrial or aeronautical sectors, are conducted in our decontaminated assembly room, with its controlled atmosphere, by our experienced team, adhering to the most exacting quality and control procedures.

Quality

Quality

Quality is an essential factor which guides and inspires our entire organisation, which is accredited with international certification. We are committed to an approach whereby we seek continuous improvement, and our control processes and resources are constantly updated.
